may 1 reboot 2009

So here we are at May, and the site has had a new theme makeover based on chaoticsoul so if the feedback is positive, I will keep it, otherwise I may build a different theme for the site and see how that is received.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s new site designs!

Year of the Cyco's album

Imagine my surprise when a friend dropped me a note saying he had a new compilation album from Suicidal Tendencies?

It is not easy to find, you have to go to their street team website and order it, it doesn’t even come up on their official website.

But some very nice stuff on the album, and especially worth it if you are a fan of Infectious Grooves. (via suicycostreetteam)

Insect Lab

Beetles, bugs and all sorts of insects and arachnids converted into little clockwork style sculptures. Although these are quite expensive, the cool factor in having a clockwork rhino beetle displayed on my desk might convince me of the need to buy one.

Check out the other pics. The site has prints you can use as computer desktop wallpapers…

A steampunk style of design with a little whimsy thrown in. (via Insect Lab)

SONS OF ANARCHY tv series

Caught a preview showing of the series ‘Sons of anarchy’ on foxtel over the weekend.

Wow. A tv series on an outlaw biker gang that runs guns.
Pretty good too, stars Ron Perlman (hello hellboy!) and Katy Sagal.

Some pretty full on story lines in it, in the first episode there are explosions, killings, murder, fights, motor cycle riding and a few other more personal touches to the characters.

It runs a bit like Dexter in that it is all about the bad side of the world, and doesn’t shy away from the fact that they are real scum.
But unlike Dexter, so far there is no redeeming these characters. Which in itself is different enough for me to catch the series.

Also, with the escalating Biker war here in Sydney, and the new laws about Biker Association (making it illegal to be a member) this comes at a very strange set of timing.

Best part is, they have been given the green light for a second series…
